Deleting your account

You can delete your Answered account yourself, from inside the app, at any time. You do not have to ask anyone.
In the app
- Open Answered and go to the You tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Confirm. It happens immediately and cannot be undone.
If you can't open the app
Email eric@cinqueinc.com from any address, with the phone number you signed in with, and the account will be deleted for you. No other proof is asked for and there is nothing to argue with.
What is deleted
Deleted outright, immediately:
- Your name, phone number and sign-in
- Your whole profile — where you live, where you're from, your age, marital status, your children's ages, your t-shirt size, your mailing address
- Your notification token, your saved scripture and your inbox
- Your membership of every group you are in
What stays
Prayers you posted, the answers recorded against them, and testimonies you gave stay with the groups you posted them in. They are part of that group's record of what God has done over the time they prayed together, and other men's prayers are tied to them.
Your name comes off all of it. Once your profile is gone there is nothing in the app that connects any of it back to you.
Deleting some of your data, without closing your account
You do not have to delete your account to get rid of something you posted.
- A message, photo, video or voice note in a group chat. Press and hold it, then tap Delete for everyone. It is removed for every member of the group straight away.
- Anything in your profile — your photo, where you live, your age, your marital status, your children’s ages, your t‑shirt size, your mailing address. Go to the You tab, tap Edit profile, clear the field and save.
- A prayer request or a testimony. These cannot yet be deleted from inside the app, because other people’s prayers and answers are attached to them. Email eric@cinqueinc.com from any address, with the phone number you signed in with, and say which one. It will be deleted for you.
Anything deleted this way is removed immediately and is not kept afterwards.
